The Quantum
Times flies when you're having fun. But does it have to? A timepiece is generally meant to enable and make our daily lives easier and more compact, and yet most of the time (no pun intended) only limits us. What if you could speed up or slow time? "The Quantum" seeks to explore what time means to us in our daily lives and how we view and related to it, and our often times frustrating battle with it. This project takes a cue from quantum mechanics theory regarding time and space being arbitrary as well as how the brain perceives/processes the passage of time in relation to visual stimulus in the rear cerebral cortex. In essence, "The Quantum" makes the speed of the passage of time inversely proportionate to the amount the wearer is stimulated. So time, in fact, is "longer" when you're having fun, and isn't flying at all.
